Butchers get an insight into meat standards - Farmers Guardian
Retail butchers have been given the opportunity to see high on farm production and welfare standards and meet the farmers behind them.More than 20 butchers spent the day with Rob Mercer and George Finch, co-founders of Medium Rare, a company supplying traditionally reared English meats of the highest quality.Mr Finch said the idea was to give butchers an idea of how 'passionate' their farmers were and how committed they were to welfare standards, traceability and farm assurance.Martin Falder who produces free-range Bretby lamb exclusively for Medium Rare commented: " We're extremely proud of our animals and the manner in which they are farmed, it is good from our perspective to remain close to the supply chain. These events kindly put on by Medium Rare are a great way to get feedback directly from butchers, which is so important in ensuring that we continue to produce lambs that meet their requirements and those of their customers."

Medium Rare products dominate summer sporting events
This year, spectators at The Open Golf Championship at Carnoustie and The All England Tennis Championships at Wimbledon will be able to enjoy many of Medium Rare's products. Medium Rare Beef and Bretby Lamb will be served as the meat courses in all of Wimbledon's restaurants as well as Packington Pork sausages being served at Carnoustie.
