Alec Mercer

Alecs’ family has been farming for over 70 years. Through the years the skills and experience has been handed down from generation to generation. Alecs’ father learnt from his father in exactly the same way as Alec now learns from him.

Alec believes passionately in sustainable and ethical farming and felt that consumers where being turned off by high-density, low quality animal farming that paid little notice to animal welfare. Alec now concentrates on low density, environmentally sound and welfare orientated farming that he feels has a real future and will help the family continue farming the land for generations to come.
